Electrical Engineer - Machine Controls

We are an innovative and growing startup seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to help develop our sophisticated machinery. This opportunity is for an experienced and diligent designer.

Responsibilities:
  • Design AC and DC electrical controls for robotic and manufacturing systems
  • Specify components and sub systems: PLCs, motors, power supplies, I/O systems, sensors
  • Work within common electrical practices and standards: NFPA, OSHA, CE
  • Implement standard industrial comm protocols: RS-234/485, Ethernet, Modbus
  • Specify pneumatics elements: Valves, cylinders, regulators, FCs, FRLs
  • Create professional schematics
  • Build flawless BOMs
  • Manage data and controlled documents
  • Manage external suppliers
  • Build and test prototypes
Experience and Qualifications:
  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Multiple years' experience designing automation systems
  • Semiconductor capital equipment experience a plus
  • Programming PLCs and Industrial Robots a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Mechanical Engineer - Robotics and System Design

Responsibilities:
  • Design systems, mechanisms and components for automated processes
  • Design precision tooling
  • Develop robotic and motion control integration
  • Develop integration of pneumatics, sensors and machine safety
  • Design and integrate machine vision components
  • Perform throughput analyses
  • Design for manufacture, cost, assembly, field robustness
  • Join the teamwork on our process definition
  • Create professional CAD models, drawings and tolerances

Experience and Qualifications:

Project Manager - Robotics and Software

We are an innovative and growing startup seeking a Project Manager to organize the design and build of complex equipment and software. This opportunity is for a proactive and diligent manager who is energized by greenfield projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with our growing team to develop a prioritized list of required projects
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, ensuring feasibility
  • Create project plans to be shared with staff members and clients
  • Keep schedule well understood by the team and track activities daily
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects
  • Track overall project performance
  • Manage project risks
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Build our project reporting and documentation schemes
  • Report and escalate schedule and budget issues to management
  • Proactively track and report on changes to system COGs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Negotiate vendor pricing
  • Support the technical team with ordering and receiving components
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Technical background and 4 year degree
  • Multiple years as a PM in a product build environment
  • Experience with capital equipment, robotics, automation software
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Advanced time management and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project or other Gantt chart software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Software Developer - Automated Machinery

We are an innovative and growing startup seeking a creative Software Developer with experience in controlling industrial hardware, factory automation and data analysis. This position reports to the Software Director and will interact cross-functionally to develop our world class technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop machine control algorithms
  • Master the command set of devices and efficiently develop software drivers
  • Write code to control multiple devices within multiple software environments
  • Real time programming where multiple tasks or threads are running
  • Control complex motion and robotic systems
  • Control machine vision systems
  • Program in C++, C#, .NET and LabVIEW
  • Communicate via RS232, RS422/485, TCP/IP and other industrial protocols
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting and debugging
  • Construction of human/software interfaces
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing software for complex capital machinery
  • Experience with real time operating systems and robot controllers
  • Demonstrable strong root cause analysis
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years developing like software

Director of Software Development - Automated Machinery

We are a growing startup seeking a Software Development Director with experience in leading ground-up software architecture, multiple software projects, and building engineering teams focused on controlling hardware, factory automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Build our software development environment and lead cross-functional teams in new product development
  • Craft our overall software architecture schemes that will control multiple devices within multiple software environments
  • Lead day to day software development utilizing technical expertise
  • Develop software as an expert individual contributor as required to augment the growing team
  • Proactively work with the senior product development team to build world-class equipment
  • Proactively work with project management to plan priorities, schedules and resources
  • Recruit and cultivate high performing teams, including 3rd parties and contractors
  • Manage team member performance through goal setting, coaching and regular feedback
Desired Experience:
  • Mastering the command set of devices and efficiently developing software drivers
  • Orchestrating use of multiple peripheral devices efficiently
  • Communicating via RS232, RS422/RS485, USB,TCP/IP and other common industrial protocols
  • Control of machine vision systems
  • Control of complex motion and robotic systems
  • Software and hardware troubleshooting/debugging
  • Strong software testing methodologies
  • Real time programming where multiple tasks or threads are running

  • Beckhoff controls and National Instruments CompactRIO controls
